SUG’s Essay Competition Submission Date Shifted

The SUG through the Director of Academics has decided to postponed the date for submission of entries in the ongoing essay competition from 2nd February, 2017.

Since some students who registered for the ongoing ESSAY COMPETITION organized by the student union government, the date of submission has been shifted. This was made known by the SUG’s director of information, Comr. Akaninyene Etim made this known in a press release yesterday after the KIP-FIT day. Pleas from students like Comr. Andy Marcus was given as the reason why the date was shifted. The plea read as follows:

  • The time frame was too short for a well researched essay to be written with respect to the topic given.
  • Publicity of the competition was not done well,  especially to students at the permanent site, Nwaniba Campus.
  • Medical Students at Teaching Hospital, Abak Road; Pre-degree and Basic Studies Students at Ediene-Abak, Ime Umanah Campus also got the information late.

An exact date has not been set for submission, but the release made it known that it will be this week. So students who are yet to submit are advised to do so, as no further extension will be done. Meanwhile those who are yet to pick up forms, are advised to do so within this period. When an exact date is set we will communicate it with you here. For those who have already submitted,  please note that your work cannot be retrieved as assessment of entries have already begun.
