2018 UNIUYO SUG Elections: Chaos in UUMSA over Presidential candidate choice

Two candidates from the Faculty of Clinical Sciences obtained forms to contest for the post of President in the upcoming 2018 UNIUYO SUG Elections. They are Emmanuel Ernest (Udo Mbakara) and Theresa Nde.

Petitions(6) have been written by members of the faculty questioning Emmanuel Ernest’s choice to pick a form to contest for president.

The petitions explain that Emmanuel had lost a primaries organized by the Political Advisory Committee (PAC) of the faculty to Theresa Nde by 23 votes (1 – 24).

The petitions request that Emmanuel Ernest be dropped (screened out) and Theresa Nde left standing and the only candidate representing the faculty for the esteemed position.

Emmanuel believes the primaries wasn’t fair and that he has every right to contest in the upcoming elections.
