UNIUYO SUG announces thier plan to aid Student Transportation

It is with deep pleasure and in recognition of our promise to provide only the best to Nigerian students in the University of Uyo in terms of transportation, that we have come up with a new transportation network for our students.

Several months ago, students were crowded about in our bus stops struggling to enter the few available buses. Several complaints were made concerning increment in the number of buses.

Coupled with the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic and an inevitable reduction in the number of passengers carried per vehicle to ensure maximum social distancing, our transportation system needed a lot of improvement in terms of sufficiency and affordability (note that transportation cost has literally doubled acrossed the whole state)

We have therefore introduced a new transportation company called DRYVA which will serve the transportation needs of Nigerian students at a CHEAPER rate, while also ensuring cashless policy to prevent COVID-19 spread by the use of smart cards.

Interestingly, we intend running this new transportation system along with the previously existing bus shuttling network to and from Permanent site, giving our students the freedom of making their transportation choices.(OPTIONAL)

However, we in the leadership of the Students’ Union are here to serve you better. Therefore, we need your OPINION(S) WHICH WILL DETERMINE IF WE CAN GO AHEAD WITH ITS IMPLEMENTATION.

TAKE YOUR TIME TO PLEASE FILL OUT THIS GOOGLE FORM (Follow this link : https://forms.gle/iAipi9bt5B4JzRRu5) AND LET US HAVE YOUR FEEDBACK.
Entries end next Monday, 21st June, 2020.

We believe the transportation problems in our Institution will be a thing of the past, once we resume (and quite sooner we will.)
