ASUU Responsible for Delay in Varsity Resumption—Afe Babalola

Chief Afe Babalola the founder of Afe Babalola University, on Monday said that the decision of the Academic Staff of Union of Universities in refusal to end the strike was the cause of the non-inclusion of final year students of tertiary institutions in the list of graduating pupils and students directed to resume by the Federal Government.

Recall that The Federal Government during the Presidential briefing did not include final year Students of tertiary Institution. In a written statement titled ” ASUU:The commander-in- chief of Nigerian Public universities, the founder reacted to the non-inclusion of the tertiary Institutions in the Federal Government directive on School Resumption. In his statement he said that “The Federal Government was aware that if it directed final year students of public universities to resume, ASUU would object and in this case, ASUU has objected.” Furthermore he advise the Federal Government to treat The educational sector important.
